Overall length of the item is 12.50 inches. Blued blade is in excellent condition with only some minor rub marks.
Counterguard is marked on its face “U.S. M6.” Two-piece black grip is also in good condition. Locking mechanism works well.
Dark green plastic scabbard has a black metal throat.
Frog is of green webbing and is complete with snap-strap and belt hooks. All metal fittings on the frog have been blackened.

This musket is stamped “42. VA. REGT. PITTSYLVANIA” on the barrel, was later altered to percussion and then shortened for use in the civilian market. It is a scarce survivor from muskets delivered to Virginia by Jame Swan of Boston in January… (1000-241). Learn More »
