Original Short Lead Rifle Sword Bayonet in Excellent condition.
The overall length of this bayonet is 24 7/8” while the graceful-looking slightly curved blade is 22” long. The brass ribbed grip has wonderful attractive untouched patina. Locking spring and button are present and work well.
Blade is smooth and attractive with no pitting or edge nicks. The ricasso is stamped “COLLINS & CO / HARTFORD / CONN” on the one side “1861” on the other side. Overall this piece is in excellent condition. [KN] [ph:L]
