Overall this blued bayonet meas. approx. 18.00 inches long with a beautiful blued blade that meas. approx. 15.25 inches long.

The blade retains all its original blue and shows only slight edge wear in spots.

Socket has a working locking ring and a bridged mortise. Socket surface shows a light coat of surface rust.

Bridle leather scabbard is similar to the standard Model 1855 scabbard except for the frog which consists of a thin leather loop held by a single copper rivet. Loop shows some wear and surface finish loss but is solid.  [ad]  [ph:m]
