A nice U.S. World War 2 bayonet for the M1 Garand rifle. This was manufactured by American Fork & Hoe. The blade measures approximately 9 3/4" and about 14 1/4" overall. "AFH / U[flaming bomb]S " stamped on the blade. No date visible. Blade has been sharpened. Button spring works well and Bakelite grip shows only light wear.
Scabbard is in good overall shape. Throat is stamped with flaming ordnance bomb. Scabbard was repainted including throat and belt hooks.
