An original knife bayonet for use on the 8mm Hakim self-loading rifle. The bayonet was designed for the Hakim rifle and was only produced in Egypt circa 1950. The Hakim bayonet is closely patterned after the Swedish M1896 bayonet.
This bayonet is approximately 13.75” overall; the blade is 8.25" long. The blade is in very good condition with upper portion retaining original blue; the tip is intact. The blade is unmarked. Original wood grips are good. The release button operates as it should. Top of pommel stamped with Hakim symbol and Arabic. The cross guard and other exposed metal surfaces show surface rust.
The bayonet comes with original steel scabbard. Exterior surfaces also show surface rust. The frog stud is in the round button-style. The scabbard throat is stamped with Hakim symbol and Arabic. [jet] [ph:L]
