This is a very fine condition Austrian bayonet with characteristic slanted mortise and four-sided blade. Measures 22” long. Metal surfaces are semi-bright and smooth. The locking ring moves freely. Numbers and proof marks stamped on both sides of the “elbow.”

The leather scabbard is also in very fine condition.  Measures approximately 19.75” long overall.  Iron throat features characteristic “X” opening for the four-sided bayonet.  Throat has integral 3” long belt hook attached.  Bottom of scabbard is closed with an iron tip featuring a small ball at the end.  Leather body remains in very good shape.  There is very little cracking, crazing, or scuffs on the leather.  Stitching along the length of the scabbard is tight and unbroken.

A nice set for anyone with a Lorenz rifle.   [jet] [ph:L]
