The Cadet musket was authorized in 1851, with the initial 300 having been delivered to VMI. 4,400 were made between 1852-1853 and were produced at Springfield.
Bayonet is very clean with a bright surface and some light scattered mottling. Socket shows some light surface rust and scattered pitting.
Locking ring works properly.
Blade flat has a good US stamping.
Bayonet does not have a scabbard. [ad][ph:L]
