This is a brass bullet mould for Colt’s 1849 pocket revolver. Mould is nearly 5” long with steel sprue cutter mounted on top. Two unblemished cavities; one round ball and one elongated Colt type bullet. Mould halves and sprue cutter are tight but do move. Brass has dark patina. Iron sprue cutter stamped “COLT’S / PATENT” amid patches of surface rust. Nice bullet mould. [jet] [ph:L]
