Here is a very good, clean iron mold for Mississippi riles (.54 caliber). Single cavity type; one round ball. Cavity is clean with no dings or scrapes. Scissor-type mold with sprue cutter located at end of mold block.
Mold was made at the Harpers Ferry arsenal and is clearly stamped “US” on both sides. A small sub-inspector’s stamp, “C”, is also visible on each side. Surface is bright with only small patches of light discoloration. A very nice bullet mold. [jet]
