Excellent flat top cartridge for the .44 Henry and M1866 Winchester rifles or the Colt, Remington, and Smith & Wesson revolvers. This particular cartridge was manufactured by the United States Cartridge Company. Bullet with raised band, copper case with headstamp of impressed "US" and tool marks.
The United States Cartridge Company was in Lowell, MA. Incorporated in 1869.
