Good condition, plain body powder flask with prominent edge seam and adjustable spout measured in drams. Stamped “G.& J.W. HAWKSLEY / SHEFFIELD” on the top of the collar. Constructed with internal spring for the serrated thumbpiece. We see no patent markings. Suspension rings in place on either side. Nice age toning to the body, collar and spout, with some spotting and a small ding on one side. We are up in the air about the date, but it does show some age and would display well with a period muzzle loading shotgun or fowling piece. [sr] [ph:m]
