This is a pack of forty-two, Model 1865, .50 caliber Spencer cartridges. The outer box is complete and in good overall condition although the corners have split. The box measures approximately 4.25” x 4” x 2”.
On the center of the lid is a green label with black printing that reads “FORTY-TWO, PRIMED / METALLIC CARTRIDGES, / FOR SPENCER CARBINE, / CAL. 50, ---- MODEL 1865 / MANUFACTURED BY / SAGE AMMUNITION WORKS / MIDDLETOWN, CONN.” Lid lifts off to expose six inner packs that contain seven cartridges each.
Box and label are very clean and in good condition other than the split corners. [jet] [ph:jet]
