This is an appendage for a rifle musket, called a wiper and it resembles a two-prong cork screw. In use this was screwed onto the threaded end of the ramrod and was used to remove cartridge paper and occasionally bullets from the barrel. This is a tall style for a .58 caliber musket, and is 1.75” long. Iron is clean. [jet] [ph:L]
