Offered here is a very early gang mold for round balls of varying calibers.
Made of brass and measuring 7" long with the reproduction wood handles attached. Hinged at one end with long tapered channels on top and bottom to funnel lead into the cavities. The ten cavities on top measure approximately 0.21" while the twelve smaller cavities along the bottom measure approximately 0.15".
Cavities remain clean and crisp. Brass has nice dark patina with usual nicks on outer surfaces from knocking the balls out of the mold.
A classic early buckshot mold. [jet] [ph:L]
