Offered here is a bullet starter. This is a tool used for starting a bullet on a balanced path into the bore of a rifle. Often used in conjunction with a false muzzle, which begins to swage grooves into the projectile exactly in line with the rifle's bore, and is then rammed fully to the breech.
Made up of two pieces, a collar and a plunger. The iron collar fits over the muzzle or false muzzle. The plunger slides through collar and is constructed of an iron stem with a brass knob on the top. Nice patina overall. [jet] [ph:L]
