Turned wood tompion for a .50 caliber rifle or carbine. This was used to plug the barrel of the weapon at the muzzle to keep moisture and dirt from getting in the bore. Measures 2.75” long with turned knob at top. Two cuts in the lower portion to make the piece flex slightly and so fit snugly in the barrel. Great condition, rare size. [jet] [PH:L]
