Iron scissor-type mold to cast a lead .38 caliber ball for the Winchester rifle. Single cavity mold with spout and a sprue cutter mounted on top of the mold blocks. Turned wood handles with brass end caps. Marked “38-55” on handle and “MANUFACTURED FOR THE / WINCHESTER ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN, CONN. U.S.A.” on the side of the right-hand mold block.
Condition is good with just some grease that should be cleaned out of the cavity. [jet] [ph:L]
