An elegant powder horn. From the size, a priming horn (approx 8" in length). Pleasing cream colored body shading to a greenish brown at the spout. The base is convex, lathe turned to produce incised lines around the circumference and curved steps above, with a raised rim around the end which has a simple staple for a strap in the slightly concave center. The bottom of the body has two parallel incised lines mirroring those on the plug. Minor stains. No cracks. A classic York County style horn. [sr] [ph:L]
