Here is an original Civil War era tin of pistol-sized percussion caps made by Eley Brothers of London. This is the taller (1” tall) 250 count size tin. The japanned tin remains in very good condition with only minor scratching to the finish. Tin is approximately 80% filled with pistol caps.

Original green label pasted to the top is in fair condition. Perhaps 10% of the label is missing on the left edge. The label originally read, “250 / Metal-Lined / Caps / Made Expressly For / Colt’s Pt. / Belt and Pocket / Pistols / Eley Bros. / Manufacturers London.”

Hard to find tin and a good accessory for any Colt revolver and especially for a cased set.  [jet] [ph:L]
