Iron scissor-type mold to cast a lead round ball for muskets. Single cavity mold with spout and a sprue cutter in handle. Cavity measures approximately 0.65”. The number “17” is stamped in handle which means “17 balls to the pound” which equates to approximately .69 caliber. This diameter bullet would be used in .69 caliber smoothbore muskets. Bullet cavity is fine with no scratches or dings. Mold is in good overall condition with only light surface oxidation on handles. [jet][ph:L]
