Offered here is a fine display of Civil War bullets. Labeled and presented in a Riker case. The bullets included are from both North and South, and for muskets and carbines.

There are all three types of the “cleaner bullets, patented by Elijah Williams that used zinc washers to grab rifling. A “pressed and turned” bullet made at a Federal arsenal and a Snap Cap (nipple protector) made using a bullet.

Southern bullets include a French bullet with triangular cavity, “Georgia teat base” bullet, .58 cal. Confederate Gardner bullet from Richmond, .577 cal. English Enfield bullet (run through blockade), and .69 cal. Round ball for smoothbore muskets.

Carbine bullets: Starr, Smith/Gallager, Colt revolving rifle, Sharps, and a Mississippi rifle bullet (called “Harpers Ferry slug” by Confederates).
