This is the circa 1859 sergeant’s combination musket tool for the Pattern 1853 Enfield.
The tool is made up of several parts combined in the shape of a “T”. The body of the tool measures approximately 4.5” long. A ball screw is fitted in one end and a “drift” in the other. Located along the body is a cone pick on one side and a main spring clamp on the other. The cross arm had a screw driver blade on one end and was threaded on the other to hold a wiper. Very good condition.
A great accessory for the Enfield rifle. From the Texas Civil War Museum collection. [jet][ph:L]
