Excellent specimen of an appendage used with the M1855, M1861, M1863, and possibly any other muskets. This is a ball screw (or puller) designed to extract musket balls from .58 caliber rifle muskets. This was employed by attaching to the threaded end of the ramrod.
Threaded point, rounded collar, and unmarked. Approximately 1” overall. Excellent condition. [jet][ph:L]
