Iron, two cavity bullet mold for.44 caliber Army revolvers.

It casts one round ball and one elongated bullet. Sprue cutter is attached to the top at the hinge pin and features the “rounded” end which was typical of Remington manufacture. Cavities remain clean with some gray tone from naval jelly.

There is light surface rust scattered overall. An “A” inspector stamp is found on one side of the mold block.

Overall, this is a good example of a .44 caliber Civil War bullet mold.   [jet][ph:L]
