This is a Riker “butterfly case” with a cut mat containing a display of sixteen excavated Civil War bullets. The pieces are identified on the front with a more detailed description pasted to the back of the case.
Included is a “Harpers Ferry slug”, Spencer carbine bullet & cartridge, Gallager, Burnside, and Starr carbine bullets. US & CS Sharps carbine bullets, as well as a Sharps & Hankins carbine bullet. Pistol bullets included are a .44 cal. Colt “Army”, Leet & Hall, & Starr revolver. A .36 cal. “Navy” from St. Louis Arsenal, Round Ball, and a .31 Colt “Pocket” model bullet.
