Paper cartridge in good solid condition. Single lead round ball and powder charge wrapped in coarse tan cartridge paper. Tied above and below the ball with string. End is folded closed. Long cartridge (3”) with large powder charge for flintlock muskets. Early cartridge circa 1812 to 1820s. Paper is typically soiled from dust, gun powder and age.
This is the type of ammunition that was for .69 caliber smoothbore muskets. [jet][ph:L]
