This brass bullet mold, in a very fine condition, was produced for the .44 caliber Starr Arms revolver. The .44 caliber Starr revolver was the third most common revolver in the war.

Complete and in excellent working order, the bullet mold extends from a single, turned, wood handle. The brass mold block is bored out to a .44 caliber cavity and has an iron sprue cutter mounted to the top. Total length of the mold is about 5” with the handle nearly 4” long. Brass wears a pleasing mellow patina.  A small “H” is stamped om the left side of the mold block.

The Starr Arms Company went out of business in 1867. This Starr bullet mold makes a wonderful adder to any .44 caliber Starr revolver display.    [jet][ph:L]
