This is an original .64 caliber round ball cartridge. Composed of a round lead ball wrapped in cartridge paper and tied with red and white string above and below the ball. The cartridge paper is in very fine condition. This cartridge features the regulation folded tail on the bottom.
The overall length is approximately 1.8” long. For the .64 caliber breechloading Hall carbine. See specimen #84 on page 111 in “Round Ball to Rimfire, Part One” by Dean Thomas.
