This is a non-excavated model 1863 musket tool. Two screw driver blades with a cone wrench. Designed for the standard rifle musket. By eliminating the clean-out screw on the M1863 rifle musket, the smaller third blade on the M1855 wrench was no longer needed. Iron shows dark patina with a few small patches of light surface rust.
A very typical, but important tool to every infantryman. [jet][ph:L]
