Brown leather sling made for use on the Pattern 1853 Enfield or M1842 musket. Leather shows some very light signs of age and use but is still soft and pliable. One end has a sewn leather belt loop while the opposite end has a brass hook for adjusting size. Still readable stamping of “WATERVLIET ARSENAL” appears just behind the sewn keeper.
