BACON NAVY MODEL REVOLVER

$1,200.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 160-35

Revolver was produced by the Bacon Manufacturing Company of Norwich, Connecticut during the early 1860’s. An estimated 900 were made.

Weapon is a six-shot, .38 rimfire with a 7.50 inch octagon barrel, single action with a large iron frame, spur trigger, square butt with walnut grips.

Barrel, frame and cylinder retain much of their original color. Top of barrel has a worn mark of “BACON MFG CO. NORWICH CONN.” Bore has good rifling and is clean, however there is a ring of pitting close to the muzzle. Action has no half-cock and the cylinder does not always index properly.

Grips are in good condition. Frame has a light scrollwork decoration.  [ad] [ph:L]
