Straps are in very nice condition overall but do show some wear and damage.
Each meas. approx. 4.25 inches long by 1.75 inches wide with a red felt rank field that has held its color well and shows minor surface wear.
Single border is of false embroidered stamped brass that retains some gilt and does show considerable surface dirt and verdigris from age, use and storage. Each rank field holds a metallic spread-winged eagle pinned at center. One of the eagles is missing both wings and the other is only missing the quill end of the arrows it holds in the talons.
Straps have worn brown polished cotton linings. [ad] [ph:L]
