The M1917 Enfield, “P17 Enfield”, “American Enfield”, formally named “United States Rifle, cal. .30, Model of 1917” was an American modification and production of the British .303 caliber P1914 rifle developed and manufactured from 1917-1918.

M1917 rifle with serial number 487881. Barrel marked “W / [flaming bomb] / 11-18” with fixed blade front and adjustable ladder and peep rear sights. Receiver marked “U.S. / MODEL OF 1917 / WINCHESTER / 487881”, and a worn “eagle head” and “flaming bomb” proofs on the left receiver rail. A "flaming bomb" stamped on top of the bolt with “SN” and a “W” on the underside. Small “E” stamped on other smaller parts. “W” stamped on bayonet lug. Majority of blue remains on gun metal.

Walnut stock in good condition with expected nicks and small dings. There are two well-done wood patches; one in front of middle barrel band, and one near front edge of magazine plate.
