Offered here is a single, excavated U.S. Model 1859 brass spur. This is the plain style with no groove inside or the floral motif at the base of the neck. Small portion of the rowel remains. Nice green “dug” patina. Slight bend to one of the strap ends. Recovered from the East Cavalry Field at Gettysburg. Accompanied by a label from previous collector.   [jet]
