Red transferware tea cup and saucer both show a beautiful floral design. Saucer has the seal of Gettysburg College which features a mercurial figure holding a caduceus in the left hand and a branch in the right, encircled by the phrase, “SIGILLUM COLLEGII GETTYSBURGIENSIS”.
Underside of both is marked, “WEDGWOOD & BARLASTON OF ETRURIA / MADE IN ENGLAND / GETTYSBURG COLLEGE / FOUNDED 1832”.
Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. [sl]
