This projectile was recovered on the Daniel Lady Farm along the Hanover Road approx. 600 yards east of the barn. Found by local resident and relic hunter, Ms. Mary Ann Rider of Gettysburg. Ms. Rider’s mother was Iva Rosensteel, sister to George Rosensteel who founded the Electric Map Museum in Gettysburg.
The Hotchkiss projectile sans the lead sabot and base cup sabot. Used a wooden fuse adapter. Has three flame grooves cut into the projectile. Light ground action. [ws] [ph:L]
