This is a small souvenir made of wood in the shape of a canteen. It features a photograph of John Burns on one side and Jenny Wade on the other with their names printed under the pictures; “Jenny” being spelled incorrectly. Images show light ware and fading.
The John Burns side is also stamped “WOOD FROM PICKETT’S CHARGE” and the Jenny Wade side has “JULY 1, 2, 3, 1863”.
This is a nice early Gettysburg souvenir. [jet] [ph:L]
