Rolled photograph measures approximately 58” wide x 6 ½” tall. Titled, “The Gettysburg Battlefield / Panorama From Ziegler’s Grove Observatory / Looking South / No. 2.” The photographer’s imprint is in lower right area of the image, “North H. Losey photographer, Indianapolis, Ind. 1913.”
Photo ranges from the tall flag pole at the Leister House on the left to the Emmitsburg Road and the veteran’s tents on the fields of Pickett’s Charge on the right. The Copse of Trees, the PA Monument, and the Round Tops are at center of panorama. Plenty of great details throughout, including three Park Avenues that no longer exist.
Clarity and contrast is very good. Condition is also good overall with a water stain in the center. [jet] [PH:L]
