GETTYSBURG RUBY RED GLASSWARE PITCHER

$40.00 SOLD

Quantity Available: None

Item Code: 635-525

Known as “Ruby” or “Cranberry” glass, these were popular as early souvenirs. The pitcher measures approximately 4” tall from base to crest and 3” in diameter. Etched into the red is, “GETTYSBURG SOUVENIER OF 1863” centered between two hand painted rose clusters.  The item is a mixture of hobstar and diamond cut pressed glass. The glass is in excellent condition with no cracks, chips, or scratches. Handle on one side, fluted base, and pressed glass bubble/starburst pattern on bottom. A very attractive souvenir.  [mc] [ph:L]
