C1866. Theatrical poster for illustrated lecture of Gettysburg by a battlefield guide and Civil War veteran. Framed in brown wood, 27.25” x 33, w/ white card backing. Double matted in green, the green tinted lithograph measures 17 “ 23.” Frame exhibits slight wear, w/6”inch tape along right margin. Inner lithograph is in very good condition; there is a tear extending downward from the top edge approx. 10 ½”, culminating in a small area of paper loss measuring ¼” wide and 1” tall with a piece of modern tape and highly attractive. Some minor restoration work would return it to its fully glory.
