Excavated Bormann fuse from 12-pounder cannon ball. This type of zinc time fuse featured numbers on the top representing seconds of time. This specimen is in fired condition and retains very little detail. The zinc remains stable with no flaking.

Recovered by local Gettysburg resident John Cullison, who excavated relics on the field from 1935-1959. This piece was recovered in the Valley of Death. Cullison sold his relics to the famed Rosensteel family, who built the primary collection of Gettysburg artifacts at the Electric Map Museum.  [jet] [ph:L]
