Beautiful footed clambroth glass dish with lid features an image of the Pennsylvania monument. Wording under image reads, “PENNSYLVANIA MEMORIAL, GETYSBURG, PA”. Gold gilt accents are on the rim of lid and rim and feet on the base.
Clambroth glass, popular in the Victorian era, is a grayish color and is somewhat opaque, like clam broth. It was made by several factories in the United States and England. Some pieces of clambroth glass date back to the 1880’s.
Dish measures 3 ¼” x 3 ¾”. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks.
This is a nice, vintage Gettysburg collectible. [sm][ph:L]
