Volume briefly covers the history of the 11th Pennsylvania Infantry and their famous mascot “SALLIE” who served with the regiment throughout the war until her death at Hatcher’s Run in 1865. A recumbent statue of SALLIE adorns the 11th Pennsylvania monument at Gettysburg.
Written by Cindy Stouffer and Shirley Cubbison the book was published by Thomas Publications of Gettysburg in 1998.
