Image is mounted on a plain unmarked yellow card and is a view of the main building of the Lutheran Theological Seminary.

The camera is looking west, up Seminary Ridge from the Chambersburg Pike to the Seminary building with its famous cupola silhouetted against the sky in the background. The fields and white picket fence between the Pike and the Seminary building are visible in the foreground.

Contrast and clarity are very good. Paper has some light staining along the top edge.

Reverse has a list of titles for other images. Card was published by the Oriental Photograph Company which was located in Spangler’s building on Baltimore St. in Gettysburg.  [ad] [PH:L]
