Gettysburg souvenir Mauchline ware box. Detailed transfer on lid reads “High Water Mark of the Rebellion, Gettysburg, PA.” Mauchline ware souvenirs were made in Scotland using sycamore wood which when varnished created a warm honey colored look. Box is circa late 1800’s and measures 3 3/8” long x 2 ¼” wide x 1 ¾” high. In very good condition with some staining inside and on bottom protective paper. [dm] [ph:L]
