Offered here is a Riker case filled with 16 assorted Civil War bullets. All in fired condition and with very light patina as they were gathered from the Gettysburg battlefield in 1866. Also included with the bullets is a pencil note written on the flattened lid of a pasteboard box. It reads, “Collected at Round Top & Culp’s Hills – Gettysburg. Sept. 26, 1866 – Battle of Gettysburg fought July 1-2-3. –1866--.” Fired 3-ringers, a Sharps, and a Gardner. [jet] [ph:L]
