These pre-WWII photos feature five views of the Gettysburg battlefield and are dated October of 1939. The views captured include 2 of Little Round Top, the “Sharpshooter Nest” of Devil’s Den, the Trostle Farm, and the Peace Light Memorial. A ballpoint penned notation on the reverse of each offers a detailed description and date. Each printed photo is numbered “35”. All are in great condition and each measure 3” x 4.8”.
A piece of earlier Gettysburg tourism, depicting the field shortly after the big 75th Anniversary. [cm][ph:L]
