This is a very nice, old souvenir of Gettysburg. The base is a 2.75” x 1.5” x 0.75” block of varnished wood. Nailed to the block are three bullets; one .69 caliber round ball and two .58 caliber, 3 groove “minie” balls. There is a small oval label with pen & ink “3872” on top side. Pasted to the bottom is a printed paper label that reads, “Relics from the Battlefield. Wood from tree at Jennie Wade Museum Gettysburg, Pa.” A matching “#3872” is written in ink on this label.
A fine old Gettysburg souvenir. [jet][ph:L]
