Zinc Parrott (short) fuse adapter measuring approximately 1.75” long. From a fired shell. Head has rounded flange with spanner holes. Threads run full length of the body. Nice white patina. Recovered near Culp’s Hill, between Rock Creek and E. Confederate Avenue.

This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel collection. Mrs. Rosensteel is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, it became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg, which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection.    [jet][ph:L]
