Zinc Parrott (long) fuse adapter measuring approximately 2.5” long. From a fired shell. Head is flanged with spanner holes and measures about 1.25” in diameter. Some deterioration around the edge of the flange. Threads run nearly 1” down the body. Nice tan/white patina with dirt still clinging. Recovered near Culp’s Hill, between Rock Creek and E. Confederate Avenue.

This relic was once part of the Iva Rosensteel collection. Mrs. Rosensteel is the sister of George Rosensteel, who started the Electric Map museum in Gettysburg. Eventually, it became a part of the Rider collection in Gettysburg, which remained in the family until The Horse Soldier purchased the collection.    [jet][ph:L]
